The dollar is weak against major currencies At the mini mart it's gold Gary's stop and shop has all you'd ever need If you can name it, it's been sold You see him walking town with all his guards abound If you see him you would know He's in his royal gown, he's knighted by the crown He's the one they call The Queen's Wino The Queen's Wino Oh, The Queen's Wino If you look in his eyes and ask him real nice He'll gift a story to your ear It's been told more than twice, he'll ask you for a beer, but it's something that you'll wanna hear It was 1943, he a sad and lonely teen, holding on by his final breath And this sweet young girl, she gave him all the world and her name was Elizabeth There he goes, the last true backstreet hero In grand costume, you can't assume, but people passing still label him a zero The life he's lived, the times he's had all seem so grand, but nobody believes him Local drunk or global hunk, we'll never know, but to this town he'll always be The Queen's Wino Oh, The Queen's Wino She had noble ancestors, he never would have guessed her, but he loved her for her loyalty He was from Rochester, son of an investor, but nothing close to royalty He said run off with me, but her house still possessed her, he was left with a final plea She said come be my jester, so his laughter could infect her, a drunkard working for the queen Working for the queen There he goes, the last true backstreet hero In grand costume, you can't assume, but people passing still label him a zero The life he's lived, the times he's had all seem so grand, but nobody believes him Local drunk or global hunk, we'll never know, but to this town he'll always be The Queen's Wino Oh, The Queen's Wino

Fly like a beetle or fall like a stone If you float in the middle you’ll float all alone The silly king sat on a funny bone throne Beneath the beating sun composed of honeycomb And the silly king said whatever came to his head And the funny bones rattled like a dance of the dead But the dead don’t know that the king can’t run And the bones all bleach in the honeycomb sun Ultimately, gravity, pulls us all together as one Eventually, predictably , we’ll all collide into the sun When a wave comes dive or take it for a ride But if you let it decide then you’ll be bound to the tide The foolish prince floats on a boat from his home On a sea beneath a sky composed of honeycomb And the foolish prince goes to find what nobody knows To bring his father fortune for his funny bones But the prince can’t see that it’s all been done Apples fall from trees grown in honeycomb sun Ultimately, gravity, pulls us all together as one Eventually, predictably , we’ll all collide into the sun Crawl down in a cave or fly through the sky On the surface you’re imperfect and you’re bound to die The silly king died and nobody cried And the funny bone throne it slowly lithified The throne now made of stone sinks down in the sea And the dead dance away back to apples on trees The prince turns to king and the king turns to bones And the world turns to music made from honeycomb Ultimately, gravity, pulls us all together as one Eventually, predictably , we’ll all collide into the sun

You Still Do 05:27
You tell me its raining Like I couldn’t feel the drops Ain’t no use complaining About a thing that none of us can stop But you still do, you still do, you still do That’s why I’m packing my things and walking away from you You tell me that it’s freezing Like I couldn’t see the snow Ain’t no use complaining About a thing that you can’t control But you still do, you still do, you still do That’s why I’m tying my boots and walking away from you You made me breakfast But you ate it all Damn You tell me it’s gorgeous Like I couldn’t see the sun Ain’t no use keeping on With something if it isn’t fun But you still do, you still do, you still do That’s why I’m packing my things and walking away from you Passing through Passing through But I ain’t passing by you Passing through Passing through But I ain’t passing by you Passing through Passing through But I ain’t passing by you

Doctor, my eyes have seen the years And the slow parade of fears without crying Now I want to understand I have done all that I could To see the evil and the good without hiding You must help me if you can Doctor, my eyes Tell me what is wrong Was I unwise to leave them open for so long? 'Cause I have wandered through this world And as each moment has unfurled I've been waiting to awaken from these dreams People go just where they will I never noticed them until I got this feeling That it's later than it seems Doctor, my eyes Tell me what you see I hear their cries Just say if it's too late for me Doctor, my eyes They cannot see the sky Is this the prize For having learned how not to cry?

Look at all these pieces Building me Tiny building blocks That I’m learning to see Growing into self Into who I wanna be Finding my my core beliefs And what makes me happy I want vitamin D in the shade I want people to come to my aid I want to gather the town and then just sit around, that’s okay I want vitamin D in the shade I want to sit in the world that we made I want to build from the ground, show you all that I found, that’s my way Searching for sound as the world turns around Building me up just to come tumbling down Nothing could stop me or ever get in my way Once I find vitamin d in the shade Pick up the pieces of reality and it bring it on home to me Mine my essence ore by ore and sell it all for free Oh, Amore amore I want you more and more, but I need to find the one for me I’ve got the love to take, just need the love to make, and then connection will set me free I want vitamin D in the shade I want people to come to my aid I want to gather the town and then just sit around, that’s okay I want vitamin D in the shade I want to sit in the world that we made I want to build from the ground, show you all that I found, that’s my way Searching for sound as the world turns around Building me up just to come tumbling down Nothing could stop me or ever get in my way Once I find vitamin d in the shade

Got me running in circles Got me turned right around Can’t find my way back home Don’t recognize this side of town Well I’m trying, but I can’t seem to get my feet back on the ground Cuz I’m flying, flying away, and I can’t fly myself back down Got me missing the crosswalk Wires crossed, now I can’t talk I’m jumbled up with a screw loose I’m helpless with nothing to do Well I’m trying, but I can’t seem to get my feet back on the ground Cuz I’m flying, flying away, and I can’t fly myself back down Oh this thing that’s ailing me I’m losing time, I’m losing weight, I’m tempting fate, oh there’s nothing left to be Got two left thumbs, got both feet wrong, can’t get along, now I’m sitting singing this song Oh what I am, what I’ve become, all feels so dumb, oh now that you have come It’s you Got me out running errands Hopeless standing in line I cant seem to stay ahead, girl Now that I’ve seen you’re behind

I said take me to The Bull Goose Loony There's something that he aught to know I'mma to tell him to watch the movie Because he ain't The Bull Goose no more Your currents are flowing through me But I'm the one that's in control This place, it made us gloomy Gonna break us out and that's for sure Shock me A wild jerky puppet thing with mad mechanics soldering The circuit board inside his head A psychiatric sycophant who's searching for a seed to plant Inside a mind as though a flower bed His sanity in questioning, who pulls the strings? The question being The answer, I already know The battle axe befuddling what lines to cross and muddling The meaning of when we say no Choose wisely your stool to stand on And the planet you land on Pick well the shoulder you cry on And what hill that you want to die on Can't you see? It wasn't for me You don't get to choose who's weak and who's strong All along, you were writing the words while singing the song And then you wonder why I couldn't play along I said take me to The Bull Goose Loony There's something that he aught to know I'mma to tell him to watch the movie Because he ain't The Bull Goose no more Your currents are flowing through me But I'm the one that's in control This place, it made us gloomy Gonna break us out and that's for sure Listen here, looky there Their eyes and ears are everywhere They watch us, to keep us scared Convincing us we need repair But I'll fight back and face despair What's the worst that they could have prepared? I said take me to The Bull Goose Loony There's something that he aught to know I'mma to tell him to watch the movie Because he ain't The Bull Goose no more Your currents are flowing through me But I'm the one that's in control This place, it made us gloomy Gonna break us out and that's for sure

Baby, I'm amazed at the way you love me all the time And maybe I'm afraid of the way I love you Maybe I'm amazed at the way you pulled me out of time You hung me on a line Maybe I'm amazed at the way I really need you Maybe I'm a man Maybe I'm a lonely man who's in the middle of something That he doesn't really understand Maybe I'm a man And maybe you're the only woman who could ever help me Baby, won't you help me to understand? Maybe I'm a man Maybe I'm a lonely man who's in the middle of something That he doesn't really understand Maybe I'm a man And maybe you're the only woman who could ever help me Baby, won't you help me to understand? Maybe I'm amazed at the way you're with me all the time And maybe I'm afraid of the way I leave you Maybe I'm amazed at the way you help me sing my song You right me when I'm wrong Maybe I'm amazed at the way I really need you
